Every Wednesday Night at Lynn Haven UMC, we seek to provide a place for your child to grow in the knowledge of God through fun and fellowship. We are proud to offer AWANA Clubs for kids grades K-6th.AWANA is an interdenominational program that incorporates Scripture memorization, Bible lessons, and games in order to engage, challenge, and train kids in the gospel of Jesus Christ.This is how it works:
Kids arrive at 5:50 pm in Treasure Cove and are split up into age groups:
Weekly Schedule Wednesdays 5:50 - 7:30 pm Kids meet for a Handbook Time - interaction time with Leaders in which they recite the memory work and discuss the Bible reading assignments (30 min) Next, they head to Game Time- high-energy time where kids compete together in teams using games that are unique to AWANA (30 min) Then it is Council Time - a time that the club gathers for creative Bible lessons that are relevant to children (30 min) Prizes are awarded at the end of the night for handbook progress and other competitions.
