Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Wee Worship/Nursery area located?

It is located in the Education Wing just past the Food Court.  Stop at the Wee Worship/Nursery desk and someone will help you find the appropriate room for your child.

What should I bring for my child?

We recommend parents bring a diaper bag and bottle, both labeled with your child's name. Please feel welcome to bring any comfort items your child might have such as a blanket or favorite toy. You will also want to bring a change of clothes for your child just in case it is needed.

How will you contact me if my child needs me?

Please stop by the Wee Worship/Nursery desk and pick up a beeper. If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, the beeper will vibrate letting you know that your attention is needed for your child.  If you would like to see the remaining portion of the worship service, you may take your child to the Cry Rooms located at the rear of the Sanctuary.

Will my child have the same teacher each week?

Yes. Your child will remain in the same developmental stage and if you attend the same service each weekend, we will do our best to make sure your child attends the same room with the same teacher.

Is there a private area available for nursing mothers?

Yes.   Our nursing area is a special room located in the main ladies lounge and restroom area.

How does Lynn Haven UMC keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church?

We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches your child. Our Very Important Partners are parents, other adults and youth that help to do everything from greeting families to assisting our Nursery Workers in teaching and caring for our children.

How can I volunteer?

There are many positions available where you can serve.   Wee Worship volunteers work one service, one Sunday per month.  Because we have staff that work in each room, you never have to worry about being in charge, you are just there to help! For more information about how you can be involved, contact Cindy Hansen, Nursery Supervisor at 265-5231 or email her.
