“Lynn Haven UMC has played an integral role in my development as a Christian.  I am truly thankful to serve in a church that is focused on reaching souls for Christ and I stand ready to serve our Lord in every capacity that I can! “

JOEL

“The capital campaign we are undertaking for Phase 2 of our building brings back fond memories for me of our last campaign.  I was a fairly new Christian at that time and just learning about giving.  I had also recently become a single mom with two small children, so I was struggling to survive on less income.  I took part in a Crown Financial Ministries class and learned about the Biblical financial principles, including giving.  Shortly thereafter I attended a meeting at church with the consultants for the building campaign, who spoke more about giving and how it was a spiritual activity, based on my relationship with God.  I made a commitment to the building fund that I really didn’t think I could afford; but I trusted God that if it was His will, He would show me the way to be faithful to my commitment.  That was years ago and I have grown so much in my faith and my understanding of God’s faithfulness.”

DORIS

“My husband, Charles Blackshear Waller (Bill) and I and our three children moved to Lynn Haven in 1959.  We attended Lynn Haven UMC Sunday School and church in the old white building.  The church members were so friendly that I knew that I had found our new church home.  I was immediately welcomed into Circle #2 which is now Nettie Sanders circle.  My circle and church family gave us great love, support, and compassion when my husband Bill died in 1963 and my daughter Karen died in 1982, after a five year fight against cancer.  On December 30, 1977, I married Robert Lee who was also warmly welcomed into our church and soon became the Sunday School Superintendent for many years as well as many other positions in the church.  Our congregation and our Friendship Sunday School class made him feel at home.  Our prayer is that Lynn Haven UMC will continue to welcome new members into our congregation and make them feel, they too, have found a church home”

MARIE

“What I love about our church is that it is a warm loving family atmosphere and the church is very active for children and grownups.  I also love the idea of our church growing.  I remember a church in NJ…it was a beautiful church and we got together at times, not as much as Lynn Haven, but it was nice.  They stopped growing, people moved away, people died and so did the church.  It is so important to keep growing for those who come after us.”

RUTH

“Lynn Haven UMC was here for me when I needed a place for guidance…I am so excited to be a member of this church family and to be a part of its growth, to know that Lynn Haven is going to be here for all the people who will need this church and the comfort, help and support it offers to people, all people, people like me.”
JIM

“I want to praise the Lord for the gifts he continually provides that enables the Hardly Able crews to share his love with so many in our community…None of this could be happening without God working in and through the lives of so many people here in Lynn Haven UMC.”
