"The God of Heaven will give us success, and we his servants are going to start building."

- Nehemiah 2:20 NRSV

The greatest thrill of ministry is seeing people come to Christ, grow in faith, and take their place in service for the kingdom of God.  My experience for the last fifteen years here at Lynn Haven has been nothing short of exhilarating.  Jesus says if we are faithful in small things, He will give us larger things.  The faithfulness of this church through the years has resulted in our being given larger and larger things to do for the kingdom of God.  Each step of the way God has provided and we have met the challenge.
Now another opportunity stands before us.

 God gave us the vision
When God gave us the vision to relocate back in 1999, we faced a number of intimidating obstacles, not the least of which was finding and paying for forty-plus acres of land for our new church campus.  The whole church made this a matter of prayer and action.  Soon God miraculously provided the right property, in the right place, at the right cost.  Then we began to plan and dream about what God wanted us to build on this land.  Before long we had a master plan and a first phase identified for us to start with.  It was a daunting challenge…a much larger undertaking than we had ever faced.  But with everyone’s participation, the dream became a reality, and here we are today.

The vision is not complete
But the vision is not complete.  As God has prospered the ministry here, our 9:30 service has become overcrowded…our children are out of space…and our Adult Sunday School and Wednesday night classes have run out of room.  Our youth are maxing out their space, not to mention the fact that they have been without a gym facility since we left our old building three years ago.   All of these elements have led our leaders to determine that now is the time for us to move forward with phase two of our master plan.

Our Community Life Center
Our Community Life Center will not only offer a solution to the space issues we are facing now, but it will open up unprecedented opportunities for recreational and health ministries for us and the community around us.  We will be able to offer simultaneous worship services in both buildings.  Our outreach to the unchurched will be expanded.  The impact of God’s love on Bay County will be multiplied.

Pray

This challenge calls for the ownership and support of everyone here at Lynn Haven.  Pray for God to speak to your heart about the vision He has given us.  As we pray together faithfully and give together sacrificially, this vision will become a reality.  This is the power of everyone!
