Our Objective
Our objective is to assist elderly, disabled and other needy clients with small non technical, low cost home repairs that will make their surroundings safer, more functional and their lives more enjoyable.
Our Projects
Approximately 50% of our projects involve construction of wheelchair ramps and the remainder involve minor home repairs and other beneficial activities.
-
Projects are accomplished at no cost for people in need
-
All labor is on a volunteer basis
-
Funds for materials are raised primarily through donations, fundraising projects, and individual contributions
-
Time is taken out of every workday to care for and pray with the people we serve
Project Sources Most project requests are received from: Bay Council on Aging; Florida Department of Children and Families, Hospice of the Emerald Coast; Covenant Hospice; HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center; Life Management Center and other Social Service agencies. Potential clients can contact Hardly Able through one of these social service agencies or call the Lynn Haven UMC office @ 265-5231.
